Admissions Coordinator

Job Purpose Summary:

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for providing information and support for clients, families, and treatment providers, while facilitating and evaluating the clinical, medical, and financial requirements of the admissions process. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Answer Admissions calls using a professional and courteous manner, during work hours and afterhours.
  • Follow up with all Admissions opportunities, AMA clients, and refer-outs.
  • Complete over-the-phone assessments according to criteria set forth by Victory Bay.
  • Complete insurance verifications.
  • Ability to speak intelligibly and accurately about our program and services offered.
  • Coordinate and schedule new intake dates and times.
  • Coordinate transportation for new intakes.
  • Work well on a team and maintain a high level of organization.
  • Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner to keep electronic records up to date.
  • Obtain previous treatment center’s clinical and medical records.
  • Assist in coordinating a referral process.
  • Conduct Admissions process.
  • After hours/phone coverage as needed.

Proper Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proper English and grammar, usage and spelling

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs.
  • Occasional to frequent walking, sitting, standing, driving
  • Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)

  • Environmental conditions may vary

Required licenses or certifications:

  • Current CPR Certification
  • Narcan Certified

Job Type: Full Time
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or related experience preferred.
Required Exterience: 2-4 years’ experience working in a Drug & Alcohol Treatment Facility, 1-year Substance Abuse Intake required.
