Chief Clinical Officer

Tara Sullivan-Butrica, LCSW

Tara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who began working in the mental health and addiction field in 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Science from LaSalle University and obtained her master’s in social work from Widener University.  

She has over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field with experience as an addiction counselor, mental health therapist and Clinical Supervisor. As an advocate for providing the highest quality of services through utilization of evidenced-based practices, she was intensively trained in Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, DBT and DBT-PE before transitioning into the role of Director.

Most recently, she oversaw the integration and clinical operations for the addictions, mental health, certified peer support, mobile outreach and case management programs at a large provider in Philadelphia. Combined with her strong clinical background, Tara’s experience with organizational development, licensing and compliance will support the continued success of the clinical team at Advantage Behavioral Health.

In her current role as VP of Clinical, Tara is responsible for research and development of Clinical and Medical operations, overseeing compliance of clinical and medical departments, facilitation of accreditation for all facilities, and oversight of substance use and mental health clinical programs.
